There were four of us and Yvonne Marshall (in pics) had been at GSA a few years before me, (I wonder if I ever gave her copies of these?) We stayed at the ancestral home of the MacBeans of Gollandfield and had great fun exploring Scotland as we toured. We were generally escourted by Road Safety officers from various CID and police depts around Scotland which meant we saw places we would never otherwise have seen and heard stories we would likewise never had heard otherwise. It was a remarkable first job in terms of broadening horizons and the people of Scotland were without exception, welcoming and warm.
