My Edinburgh Fringe HOT TIPS

Going to the Fringe is expensive and hard work. You are bombarded with choice, variety and mind blowing events. I wont be at the Fringe this year, in fact I rarely am BUT IF I WAS these are the shows I would be going to see, an eclectic mix of opera, alternative comedy and darn good theatre.

The Six Sided-Man

A two hander produced and performed by Gavin Robertson & Nicholas Collett it’s all about the roll of the dice

Not too long, sharp and funny, entertaining and dramatic, ticket money well spent in my opinion.

Opera Larks

So this should cheer you up no end, ‘Are We There Yet?’ it’s free and it’s funny and features the Sassy Diana Sharp the Foxy Dawn Foxall.

Flying cattle class all the way Donna Wannabe and Katherine Withakay fly to Las Vegas for their big break. With a storm raging over the Atlantic they find themselves chasing connections across the globe with music from Danny Boy, Carmen, James Bond and the theme music of British Airways, to name a few. At least they are in the safe hands of Ralph Dingo, or so they think.. Hold on to your Stetsons!

‘Are We There Yet?’ was conceived by the girls with grateful help from: David Barnard (aka Captain Ralph Dingo), accompanist and MD extraordinaire & Dan March – wickedly funny man who directed and abused it!

The Giggleball – will go ahead despite Zombie Attack

Dennis Roadknight set up a theatre company on a whim to alleviate his boredom one day in 2009. He picked a bunch of random blokes from the pub and paid them £9.67 each to perform a ‘skit’ for him. That skit was officially recorded as the funniest thing Dennis Roadknight had ever seen.

As the group of misfits sobered up they became less funny and could not remember the skit they had performed. They have spent every day since then, (well every other day at least), trying to re-discover that magic.

As they stumbled in and out of pubs across the globe these men forged a bond with Dennis Roadknight and soon they became known as Dennis Roadknight and His Amazing Friends.

As far as I can tell you only get one chance to catch this, I am assured that all audience will be safe from Zombie attack get over to Augustine’s Studio, 24th-30th August at 20:35
